Natural Shampoo Bars
Experience the difference with our natural shampoo bars—completely free from SynDets (synthetic detergents) and thoughtfully formulated to nourish your hair from root to tip. Unlike typical soap bars, our shampoo bars have a higher oil and butter content to gently cleanse without stripping natural oils, leaving your hair soft, hydrated, and full of life.
Each bar is carefully crafted, with many specially designed for specific hair types or functions, such as moisturizing dry hair, balancing oily roots, or supporting scalp health. Their concentrated formula means a little goes a long way.
Transitioning to natural shampoo bars can require a bit of technique—from proper lathering to adapting your hair routine—but the results are transformative: stronger strands, a healthier scalp, and beautifully resilient hair. With consistent use, you’ll find your hair thrives naturally, without relying on harsh chemicals or unnecessary additives.
Choose a bar that suits your hair type and embrace a more sustainable, effective, and gentle way to care for your hair every day.
How to use a Shampoo Bar
Switching to natural shampoo bars can feel different at first, but with the right technique, your hair will thrive. Follow these steps for the best results:
-
Wet Your Hair Thoroughly
Start with clean, fully wet hair. Warm water helps the shampoo bar glide more easily and creates a richer lather. -
Lather the Bar
Rub the shampoo bar between your hands under water to create a creamy lather, or gently glide the bar directly over your hair in sections. Do not use a circular motion. Only rub the bar gently in the direction of your roots to length to avoid tangling. Concentrate on roots and scalp for effective cleansing. -
Massage Your Scalp
Use your fingertips to massage the lather into your scalp for 1–2 minutes. This stimulates circulation, removes buildup, and evenly distributes oils.Concentrate lather on your scalp and the first several inches only. You do not need to lather all the way to your tips as the residual shampoo from rinsing will be sufficient in cleansing it. Otherwise, you may strip your hair too much or weigh it down with residual product. -
Rinse Thoroughly
Rinse your hair completely with warm water. Ensure no residue remains, as leftover product can weigh hair down. -
Repeat if Needed
For very oily hair, thick hair, or first-time transitions, a second pass may be beneficial. Many users find one pass sufficient after a few washes. -
Condition or Use a Rinse (Optional)
Depending on your hair type, follow with a natural conditioner bar or an apple cider vinegar rinse for extra softness and shine. -
Store Your Bar Properly
Keep your shampoo bar dry between uses. Use a well-draining soap dish or rack to prevent it from sitting in water—this extends the life of your bar.
Tips for Natural Shampoo Bars
Hair may feel different in the first few washes; this is normal as your scalp adjusts.
- Continue with your after wash hair care routine for now, but keep in mind you may need to adjust it after awhile.
Avoid over-washing—natural oils are essential for healthy hair.
- Often times you will find you need to wash your hair less and less after transitioning to natural shampoo.
Experiment with different bars to find the one that suits your hair type best.
- You may find that at first you need one type of bar and then once you've transitioned, your hair no longer has the same issues and you will need to switch. For instance, I started with a normal to oily formulation, but eventually I needed a bar for "all Hair Types" as my hair was no longer oily.
With a little patience and proper technique, you’ll enjoy hair that’s stronger, softer, and naturally beautiful—without harsh chemicals or synthetic detergents.
Natural Conditioner Bars
Our conditioner bars are crafted with a high concentration of nourishing oils and butters to deeply condition, detangle, and restore vitality to your hair. Unlike liquid conditioners, these bars provide a concentrated dose of hydration without weighing hair down, leaving strands soft, manageable, and full of life. Many of our bars are specially formulated for different hair types or needs, such as dry, damaged, or color-treated hair.
Transitioning to natural conditioner bars is simple with the right technique, and they pair beautifully with our shampoo bars for a complete, chemical-free hair care routine.
How to use a Conditioner Bar
- Shampoo First
For best results, always start with clean, wet hair. Our natural shampoo bars work perfectly to prepare your hair for deep conditioning. -
Wet the Conditioner Bar
Run the conditioner bar briefly under warm water to soften the surface and activate its rich oils and butters. -
Apply to Hair
Rub the bar directly on mid-lengths and ends, or glide it over your hair in sections. Avoid applying directly to the scalp if you tend to have oily roots. -
Massage and Detangle
Use your fingers or a wide-tooth comb to distribute the conditioner evenly and detangle gently. Focus on areas that are dry, frizzy, or prone to breakage. -
Leave it On (Optional)
For deeper conditioning, leave the product on for 2–5 minutes before rinsing. -
Rinse Thoroughly
Rinse completely with warm water, ensuring no residue is left behind. -
Store Properly
Keep your conditioner bar dry between uses, ideally in a well-draining dish or rack. This helps it last longer and maintain its shape.
Tips for Natural Conditioner Bars
- Adjust Amounts as Needed: Thicker or very dry hair may need more product or longer leave-in time.
- Avoid Overuse: A little conditioner goes a long way—start with a small amount and build up if necessary.
- Pair with Shampoo Bars: For optimal results, use after one of our natural shampoo bars to fully nourish and protect your hair.
- Patience During Transition: Hair may feel different initially as it adapts to chemical-free care. Consistent use will lead to softer, stronger, healthier hair.
Apple Cider Vinegar Rinses
Our Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) rinses come in a concentrated form—so you’re not paying for extra water—and are infused with carefully selected herbs and essential oils for added benefits. ACV is a natural powerhouse for hair care, helping to close the hair cuticles after shampooing, leaving hair smooth, shiny, and more manageable.
Just dilute 1–2 tablespoons of our concentrated ACV rinse in 8 oz of soft or distilled water, and you have a refreshing, chemical-free rinse that restores balance to your scalp and hair
How to use an Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse
- Shake Concentrate thoroughly
- Shake the rinse very well as essential oils and vinegar do not mix, so you will want a proper distribution when measuring and diluting.
- Dilute the Rinse
Mix 1–2 tablespoons of concentrated ACV with 8 oz of soft or distilled water. Adjust the ratio slightly depending on hair type and sensitivity. -
Shampoo and Rinse First
Wash your hair with your favorite natural shampoo bar and rinse thoroughly before applying the ACV rinse. -
Apply Evenly
Pour the diluted ACV rinse over your hair, focusing on the scalp and mid-lengths to ends. -
Massage and Detangle
Gently massage your scalp and comb through hair with fingers or a wide-tooth comb to ensure even coverage. -
Leave On Briefly
Allow the rinse to sit for 1–3 minutes for maximum cuticle-smoothing and shine. -
Rinse or Leave In
You can either rinse lightly with water or leave the ACV in for a more pronounced shine and softening effect. Adjust based on personal preference and hair type. - Leaving ACV in will leave your hair with a vinegar smell, but it will eventually fade depending on your hair routine,
-
Store Properly
Keep the concentrated ACV rinse in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Dilute fresh for each use to maintain potency.
Tips for Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse
- Start with 1 tablespoon per 8 oz water if your scalp is sensitive, then adjust as needed.
- Use 1–2 times per week or as needed to maintain shine and scalp balance.
- Pair with natural shampoo and conditioner bars for a complete chemical-free hair care routine, or use in place of the conditioner bar
- I personally switch between the conditioner bar and an ACV rinse every other wash and find it is a great balance, so experiment and find which routine works best for you
- Over time, hair becomes softer, smoother, and more manageable as cuticles are naturally sealed.
